The film takes place in the near future, where an unnamed country is suffering from a lack of resources and economic collapse. The desperate government forces citizens to undergo infanticide operations, in which vulnerable sectors of the population, including children and the elderly, are systematically singled out. Mia (Ana Castillo), a pregnant woman and her husband Niko (Tamer novas) flee the country by hiding in a shipping container. However, the couple tragically broke up during their perilous journey at sea. After a storm hit the shipping containers at sea, Mia drifted into the sea inside the container. Amid the harsh conditions, Mia gives birth as she struggles to survive for her newborn baby
